Dont have all the details on it yet, but Midnight Madness for College Hoops is on Oct 15th this year.
Like I said, I dont know the local teams plans or sachedules for this yet.

There will be a 5K walk to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Oct 9th at 10 am starting at the World peace Bell in Newport. Registration begins at 8:30
UC Clermont will have their Culture Fest Oct 9th starting at 10 am featuring multicultural music, food and activities.
Oct 23-31 the newport aquarium has a halloween deal going on. With each paying adult, 1 child under 12 can get if free as long as they are in contume. They will have costume contests on both the 23rd and 30th at 4:00pm

If you happen to be downtown Oct 8th around noon, there will be chamber music on the square.
Madcap Puppets presents alladin and friends at the art museum Oct 9-10 & 16-17
MADCAP PUPPETS
At the Anderson branch Library on Oct 9th at 1 pm there will be an Anime film fest for students 12-18 yrs old

Doors open at 10:00. Autograph session at 10:15
Introduction of both mens and womens team, dance team, cherrleaders, band...
Slam dunk contest and mens team scrimmage as always
Havent seen anything about Xavier.

The Walk as one Walkathon is Oct 16th beginning and ending at the Freedom Center

The Monster of Monmouth Parade is Oct 24th and goes from the Newport city building to the Levee. Costumed kids can enjoy hotdogs, drinks, trick or treating and activities. Starts at 1:00
The Documentary a History Of Sex will be shown at the Contemporary Arts Center Oct 24th at 8:00 Tickets are $10
The great American train Show is Oct 30-31 at the Convention Center starting at 11 am both days. Tickets are $7, under 11 get in free with a paying adult.
Pretty much onto Halloween and then onto November.
